The Waiting Place

Well, we finally have things moved into our new apartment! Let me tell you, it was quite an ordeal getting the place cleaned up and made into a place we will be able to call home. I have been working alot, so Hilary came over while I was at work and did most of the organizing. Okay, she pretty much did all of it. :) I helped where I could, but she's a pro star and had most of it done before I had a chance to do anything. She's awesome.

So, I figure that Dr. Suess put it best at how I'm feeling about life right about now. Of course he did! Its frickin' Dr. Suess! Anyways, an excerpt from "Oh The Places You'll Go!"

The Waiting Place...

...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a sting of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.

Gah! If I would have known that moving in here would make me more impatient than ever, I probably would have...okay, well I like this place. I wouldn't have done anything different, except maybe get married this weekend instead of two weeks from this Saturday. Sure, two weeks isn't very long, but this engagement limbo has gone on long enough. :) I know it will be worth it, so I continue with Dr. Suess.

Boom Bands...I like the sound of that! And, you know Dr. Suess, I AM that kind of a guy! I'm totally the flip-flapping banner, playing Boom Bander kind of a guy! For the next two weeks, luckily, I am working nearly non-stop, having only Sundays, the 14th, and the 20th off. I then am off from the 22nd until the end of the month! So, things are happening, its just a matter of patience (something I've never really been good at!). I think I'll be getting a movie review up for Iron Man sometime soon. Dang, that was the best superhero movie in a long time. Until next time...get a hobby...
